The SUNY ESF Career Development Series has been announced for Spring Semester 2013. According to John E. Turbeville, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs & Director of Career Services, “The series will consist of two consecutive one-hour sessions on Thursday nights in February, culminating with the career fair on Wednesday, February 27. Finally, an etiquette dinner is planned for the first week in March. Each of these sessions is focused on assisting students with the next steps in their career planning and development. For attending every session and signing in at the career fair, students will receive a free ticket to the etiquette dinner, valued at $50.”

Specifically, the sessions are as follows:

February 14: Your Resume/CV and Cover Letter.  Presenter: Diane Carlton, AICP, Regional Director, NYS DEC Region 7, Marshall Auditorium, 4-5pm

February 21: Succeeding at the Career Fair. Presenter: Dave White, Recreation/Tourism Specialist Great Lakes Program Coordinator: NY Sea Grant, Marshall Auditorium, 4-5pm

February 27: Environmental Career Fair. Gateway Center, 10:30-3pm

March 7: Etiquette Dinner. Presenter: Brian Earle, Cornell University. Senior Lecturer of Communication.  SU Faculty Center, 6-8pm. Sign-up with John Turbeville in 110 Bray Hall by March 2, $10 deposit required.
